Murasaki Agetofu – Lightly Fried Tofu

Ingredients used:

  • 10.5 ounces - Tofu
  • 4 Tablespoons - Cornstarch
  • 6 Tablespoons - Japanese Daikon radish
  • 3 Tablespoons - Scallions
  • 3 Tablespoons - Ginger
  • 8 teaspoons - Water
  • 6 teaspoons - Soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons - Sugar

Recipe steps:

  • Cut the tofu into 12 cubes and lightly dust with cornstarch.
  • Drop the cubes into a deep fryer and fry in 1/2-inch of oil for a few minutes until lightly browned.
  • Arrange the cubes in a serving bowl and top with grated daikon, minced scallions, and grated ginger.
  • Mix the soy sauce, water, and sugar together and heat. Pour the mixture around the tofu in the bowl.
