  • Run the apples through a food mill or sieve. You can also use a hand-cranked strainer.
  • The resulting applesauce should be quite thick and very good.
  • If you want it to be more like apple butter, add the cinnamon and return it to the microwave for half an hour or until the desired color and thickness is achieved.
